The Town is a proud member of the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA) and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM).
Recognized since 1905 as the collective voice of Saskatchewan urban municipalities, SUMA represents the interests of municipal governments on policy and program matters within provincial jurisdiction. In addition to representation, SUMA also provide valuable leadership in advocacy and education for elected officials and municipal employees.
FCM has been the national voice for Canada's local governments since 1901. They advocate to ensure our citizen's needs are reflected in federal policies and programs. FCM works closely with municipalities to help access and secure grant funding for a variety of projects including infrastructure, environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, and more.
